NAICA in New York is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee security staff and ensure a safe environment for residents and employees in a Bronx facility.

The role involves directing Residence Workers and Guards, monitoring surveillance, and maintaining logs. Requires a high school diploma and at least one year of supervisory experience, with required certifications prior to probation completion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• F-80 Certificate of Fitness for Coordinator of Fire Safety and Alarm Systems in Homeless Shelters.
• CPR/First Aid Certification required before expiration of probation.
• Food Protection Certification required before expiration of probation.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor clients, units, and grounds to ensure security and safety.
• Examine items entering the facility to ensure safety.
• Provide crisis prevention and intervention as needed.
• Record incidents and grievances in logs and incident reports.
• Communicate with department supervisors about social services issues.
• Manage entry logs and verify access.
• Inspect cleaning and service chores for completion.
• Assist with site goals and efficiency improvements.
• Support residents and staff with questions and issues.
• Monitor video surveillance; adhere to safety policies.
• Report safety hazards to supervisors or maintenance.
• Provide coverage as needed; may work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform other duties to ensure efficient facility operations.
