Job summary

Children's Rescue Fund in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee Safety Monitors on a dedicated shift, manage daily operations, and ensure safety and civility within the facility.

The role requires supervisory security experience, a valid security license, CPR, a NYS driver’s license, and strong communication skills to work with women and children; evening hours are required, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must possess Security license.
• Must possess an F80.
• Must possess current CPR certification.
• NYS Driver's license required.
• Two (2) years of Supervisory experience in commercial/residential security or law enforcement, or Five (5) years' experience as a Private/Personal Security Officer.
• Must have good communications skills, experience working with women and children.
• Exhibits superior professionalism at all times, even when under pressure or experiencing challenges with the clients.
• Must successfully complete background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Safety Monitors and ensures all safety and security duties are performed as per agency protocol.
• Conducts fire drills and documents results.
• Responds to incidents and follows DHS and agency protocols in responding to and documenting incidents.
• Reports incidents of Child Abuse to the state Central Registry.
• Interacts with HERO and provides updates on unit vacancies and occupancies.
• Answers facility phone and directs calls.
• Ensures Safety Monitors patrol and monitor CCTV and document observations.
• Trains Safety Monitors in security measures and recommends changes in procedures/equipment to the Manager of Building Operations.
