Job summary

Avery's House, Boise, Idaho, is hiring a Shift Supervisor Clinical Assistant (BHT) for overnight coverage. The role supports residents in a structured recovery housing, enforces house rules, coordinates with the clinical and housing teams, and participates in training new staff.

Requires 2+ years in behavioral health and management experience; valid Idaho driver’s license and pass background/drug screens are needed.

• Assist with orientation and training for new hires CA.
• Liaise between clinical and housing staff and keep channels open.
• Support Program Manager with audits, drills, and inspections.

Avery's House is a substance abuse & mental health treatment provider for adolescents. We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and responsible Shift Supervisor Clinical Assistant (BHT). Experience working with adolescents is preferred, and any additional experience with mental health and substance abuse is beneficial. Management or leadership experience is required. This position provides daily support to those living in Avery's House structured recovery housing.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Aid individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues.
• Establish open lines of communication for individuals.
• Implement house rules.
• Transporting clients.
• Collaborate with additional needed treatment.
• Ensure necessary documentation is complete.
• Other tasks as assigned.
• Act as a Liaison for clinical & housing staff. Keeping communication open between the clinical team, daytime housing staff, and nighttime housing staff.
• Assisting Program Manager with Monthly Binder Updates and Audits/Fire Drills/and Facility Inspections
• Assist with orientation and training for new hire CA's.
• Must have a flexible schedule and PRN availability.
• Demonstrates an exceptional ability for client communication and de-escalation.
• Demonstrates the ability to work well with others and offer additional training support if it is needed for other CA's
• Assists Program Manager in keeping up with environment of care, making sure supplies stay stocked throughout the house and the facility is up to Avery's House standards.
• Works closely with the Program manager as a direct contact for housing staff.

Requirements

• REQUIRED: Must have a valid Idaho Driver’s License in good standing.
• REQUIRED: Must be minimum 21 years of age.
• REQUIRED: Must pass background check.
• REQUIRED: Must pass drug screening.
• REQUIRED: Must be able to climb up and down stairs, hills, bend and lift 25+lbs
• Fingerprint enhanced background clearance (preferred- will be required to obtain)
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred- will be required to obtain)
• Current TB test (will be required to obtain)
• At least 2 years of behavioral health experience.
• Management experience required.

• Thursday, Friday, Saturday
• 12 hour shifts

Education

• High school or equivalent (Required)
