Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Operations Supervisor to support the Operations Manager with shift duties, personnel, and performance targets.

You will supervise technicians and coordinators, schedule work, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while balancing customer needs and costs. Key responsibilities include workflow planning, labor development, customer communications, asset and parts management, and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred or 1-3+ years in maintenance ops.
• Maintenance/tech experience in a shop environment required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with a Shop Management System and MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Workflow management: plan/schedule work, assign tasks to technicians, track productivity, lead shift/shop meetings.
• Labor management: training and development of personnel; performance management.
• Customer management: maintain customer relationships and scheduling communications to ensure vehicle uptime.
• Asset management: oversee shop appearance, tools, equipment, parts inventory, and vehicle specs.
• Quality management: conduct inspections, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and ensure safety/compliance.
