Job Description

Burger King Shift Supervisor

Assists the Management Team in increasing customer count, customer satisfaction, and controlling costs while increasing profitability in the daily operations of a Burger King restaurant. Improves Guest satisfaction through financial controls, operations, direction of Team Members, and compliance within the scope of an assigned shift. Operates under the direct management of the General Manager and helps lead the restaurant team. Interacts with Team Members, restaurant management, outside vendors, members of the field operations team, and Guests.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for restaurant operations (labor, inventory variance, GUEST TRAC responses) during assigned shifts, including opening and closing the restaurant.
  • Provides production direction to Team Members clearly and effectively.
  • Sets an example for Team Members by working diligently to implement shift plans and ensure smooth production.
  • Delegates tasks to encourage teamwork and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Motivates Team Members to exceed Guest expectations with food and friendly service in clean surroundings.
  • Works with the team to act on Guest feedback and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Directs, trains, and motivates Team Members during shifts on each workstation.
  • Complies with government regulations, BK policies, food safety, security policies, and operational procedures during the shift.
  • Reports violations of safety, sanitation, security, and other policies immediately and performs short-term solutions.
  • Motivates Team Members to follow loss control procedures and maintain a safe environment.
  • Completes checklists and procedures for cash reporting, inventory control, and scheduling during shifts.
  • May perform duties listed in the restaurant Team Member job description.
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance on assigned shifts.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work under pressure.
  • Problem-solving skills for immediate resolution.
  • Ability to interpret instructions in various formats.
  • Proficiency with computers and calculators.
  • Flexible working hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Owns a vehicle with required insurance coverage.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of internal certification programs.
Physical Working Conditions

Employees must frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and perform active tasks such as crawling and climbing. Ability to lift/move 50 pounds. Regular exposure to video terminals, driving conditions, loud environments, and moving mechanical parts. Must be able to talk, hear, use hands, and reach with arms. Vision requirements include close and distance vision. Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, heat, and electrical hazards. Noise level is usually loud.
