Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT, is seeking an Electrical Technician for Nuclear Test Operations to support all shifts. You will perform electrical testing of nuclear components, align instruments, and ensure safety tagging, isolation, and de-energization for safe work.

Candidates should read electrical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics, pass trade trainings, and meet safety requirements including dosimetry qualification; heavy lifting and confined spaces are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent or 2+ years related technical experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, electronics, or electrical assembly, installation and repair.
• Must be available for all shifts per union agreement.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing of nuclear components and alignment of Nuclear Instrumentation and Detectors.
• Troubleshoot as per Test Engineer/Shift Test Engineer documentation.
• Ensure safety by tagging out, isolating, and de-energizing systems for other trades.
