General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an Electrical Technician in Nuclear Test Operations to support all shifts. Responsibilities include electrical testing of nuclear components, alignment checks of instrumentation, and maintaining safety by tagging out and de-energizing energized systems.
The role requires reading electrical diagrams and schematics, plus troubleshooting per Test Engineer documentation. Heavy lifting and confined-space work may be involved.

This position will require electrical testing of nuclear components in accordance with their respective test procedure, performing alignment and alignment checks of Nuclear Instrumentation and Detectors, and performing the duties of “Safety Technician” to ensure that systems are properly tagged out, isolated, and de-energized in order for other trades to perform work safely.
Candidates must be able to understand electrical system diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and be able to perform troubleshooting in accordance with Test Engineer/Shift Test Engineer documentation when required.
The selected individual must understand the requirements and comply with the EB Safety Manual, various technical manuals, and applicable department instructions when working on energized equipment.
Some heavy lifting is required along with crawling and working in tight, confined spaces.
The applicant must be medically able and willing to qualify as a Contamination Worker to obtain and maintain dosimetry. In addition, the individual must be able to pass all required trade training qualifications.
