Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead multiple departments on a single shift, ensuring cost-effective, on-time manufacture of quality products. The role directs supervisors, coordinates with plant functions, and drives continuous improvement.

Minimum 2 years of related experience is required; 3–5 years of supervisory training is preferred. Knowledge of USDA regulations and strong diplomacy are essential.

• Strong diplomacy and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs production operations and personnel to meet established production and quality control standards, control budget and costs, and provide data on products produced.
• Establishes short-term activities directed toward production continuity and balance, including shift schedules, material requisition, machine loading, grievances, and maintenance.
• Coordinates with other plant function areas to support output, productivity, and quality.
• Selects, trains, and motivates production labor force to meet schedules at optimum productivity and cost.
• Recommends improvements in production flow or methods.
• Ensures effective use of operating methods and procedures to eliminate problems and improve product quality.
• Counsels supervisors on job performance and departmental efficiencies.
• Recommends modification of machines/equipment to improve production and quality.
