Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Production Superintendent to lead the production/processing supervisors and ensure cost-effective, on-time manufacture of quality products on a single shift.

You will direct operations, coordinate with plant functions, train staff, and drive continuous improvements in flow and safety, with a focus on meeting schedules and maintaining quality.

Applicants should have at least 2 years in related roles and 3–5 years supervisory training, with knowledge of USDA regulations.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience.
• 3-5 years of supervisory training experience preferred.
• Knowledge of USDA regulations.
• Strong diplomacy and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs production operations and personnel to meet established production and quality standards and control costs.
• Establishes short-term activities for production continuity, shift schedules, materials requisition, and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinates with other plant functions to achieve output, productivity and quality.
• Selects, trains, and motivates production labor to meet schedules at optimum productivity and cost.
• Recommends improvements in production flow or methods and uses operating procedures to prevent problems.
