Job summary

Dessert Holdings seeks a Production Supervisor on 2nd shift to lead production and/or packaging lines in Humble, TX. The role reports to the Operations Manager and drives SQDCM objectives through the team, monitoring line performance and safety, and initiating corrective actions as needed.

The ideal candidate has a 3–5+ year background in industrial food manufacturing, strong leadership, and experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean tools. Prior supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate technical degree preferred, combination of education and/or experience equivalent required.
• 3–5+ years of related work experience in an industrial food manufacturing operation; supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, teambuilding and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee production and/or packaging lines.
• Monitor workflow, process steps, variables and equipment condition.
• Apply CI and Lean tools to understand problems and improve performance.
• Lead CI initiatives as Team Leader and Team Member.
• Develop cross-functional shift relationships to drive performance.
• Provide leadership, direction, coaching and development to team members.
• Plan, monitor and appraise job results; enforce policies and procedures.
• Ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives are met.
