Job summary

Oldcastle is seeking a Production Lead to supervise and train production personnel during the shift, ensuring safe, high-quality output delivered on time. You will oversee workflow, run training for new hires, and coordinate with maintenance and safety teams to uphold standards.

The role requires leadership experience in manufacturing, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive efficient shift operations while maintaining safety and quality controls.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Lead/Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lead by example and build effective teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise personnel, production workflow, safety and quality
• Operate all stations of the work center for training and troubleshooting
• Ensure safety procedures are understood and followed
• Assist Production Manager with staffing and workflow decisions
• Train new hires and transfers into the department
• Lead shift meetings and pass on critical information between shifts
• Ensure proper safety equipment use and safety awareness
• Monitor quality and production capacity to meet standards
• Report safety hazards or equipment issues to maintenance
• Provide performance feedback to the Production Manager
• Maintain attendance and comply with safety policies
• Contribute to performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
• Complete shift production reports and communicate item status
• Support monthly safety trainings and cross-shift communication
• Direct production activities to keep operations efficient
• Allocate staff to meet schedule and optimize flow
• Encourage maximum shift production flow while ensuring safety and quality
