Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, seeks a Shift Lead to coordinate and oversee production operations. You will supervise hourly staff and may oversee off-shift personnel.

Responsibilities include scheduling, safety inspections, performance reviews and reporting, plus coordinating with maintenance, quality control and shipping to keep production running smoothly. Strong leadership and at least an associate degree or two years of college are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or two years of college, technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 or more years of experience in production with emphasis on process control in a similar industry.
• Ability to lead/manage others.
• Effective conflict management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and oversees production operations in the manufacturing process.
• Follows plans and schedules of operations with maintenance, quality control, shipping and production personnel.
• Establishes, assigns and communicates job responsibilities and schedules for shift personnel.
• Supervises and evaluates job performance.
• Orders safety equipment and conducts safety inspections to ensure compliance.
• Reviews production data and prepares reports for management.
• Assists personnel and plant staff to resolve problems and ensure production efficiency.
• Assists plant management in resolving union issues and grievances.
• Orders tools and supplies for the manufacturing process.
• Requests and supervises repairs and preventive maintenance on machinery.
• Performs other duties as needed.
