Job summary

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream is seeking a production supervisor to organize and lead a shift on our busy facility floor. You will ensure product quality, safety, and efficiency while coaching a team to meet production targets.

This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, training, and adherence to our food safety standards. Responsibilities include supervising daily operations, enforcing hygiene, and driving cost control.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; an Associate degree is preferred.
• Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, or similar).
• Ability to manage shift operations and coordinate production activities.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize, facilitate and control your area to meet production standards.
• Ensure clean as you go and maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards.
• Train and develop team members; set targets and evaluate progress.
• Enforce food safety and quality procedures; ensure compliance and audits.
• Control waste, downtime, and cost while optimizing process efficiency.
• Maintain clear communications on shop floor and with management.
