Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Durham, NC seeks a skilled shift production supervisor to lead daily operations, coach teams, and ensure quality and safety across the line. You will implement process improvements, drive adherence to SOPs, and coordinate with maintenance and support groups to maintain production flow.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in a manufacturing field and 5 years of manufacturing experience, with Lean/Six Sigma exposure and strong communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing or engineering field with 5 years of experience preferred.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience and sustainable process improvements preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to train and coach others.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Act as process advocate, coordinating daily schedule with Work Cell Leaders and support groups.
• Coach and mentor team members on oral finished production, behavior and mindset.
• Visualize and track events and actions to improve performance.
• Verify operators follow processes and procedures on shift.
• Lead process confirmations of SOPs and JIs; drive quality and compliance on shift.
• Resolve issues related to systems like ADP, PAS-X and SAP; implement improvements.
• Observe and enforce safety and environmental requirements on the line.
• Coordinate maintenance tasks on the line and support sample coordination.
• Assist with deviations and unplanned production issues; support training of operators.
