Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. in Toledo, OH is seeking a Shift Manager Operations to ensure safe operation of the Toledo HBI location. You will prioritize, assign, and review work for Plant Operators and the control room, coordinating with site personnel to optimize production on each shift.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in a heavy industrial setting, an associate degree, and experience with CMMS (Ellipse) and MS Office. Shift work and mobility are required in this role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years in a heavy industrial setting, preferably steel, hydrocarbon or mining.
• Experience overseeing, leading and coaching people.
• Proficient with CMMS (Ellipse preferred) and MS Office.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and manage changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work practices and lead work safely.
• Plan and prioritize daily assignments from weekly work orders.
• Communicate shift plan and task assignments in toolbox huddle.
• Monitor quality of completed work and inspect crew performance.
• Document shift performance and handover key process parameters.
• Coordinate plans to achieve safety, quality, production, cost and environmental goals.
• Unloading/loading of incoming oxide and outgoing products efficiently.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and share best practices.
