Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a shift in a fast-paced service center. You will supervise staff, ensure safe loading/unloading, and drive efficiency while meeting service goals. Proficiency with AS400 and MS Office is expected, along with strong communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Must have clear verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Supervisory experience preferred for coordinating shifts and staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily safety of employees and train on safety processes.
• Oversee safe and efficient planning, loading, and unloading of freight.
• Assign and supervise pickups and deliveries to optimize utilization and performance.
• Lead shift meetings and communicate schedules to staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
