Job description

Location: Rockport, INCleveland-Cliffs, Rockport Works is looking for a Shift Manager Maintenance. This role is responsible for coordinating daily activities in the operation site, supervising hourly crews and improving overall efficiency by proper utilization of the resources and all of its components. They will ensure the reliability of the mechanical equipment through preventative maintenance and directing maintenance personnel as needed in response to breakdowns.Summary of ResponsibilitiesSchedules routine activities. Supervises completion of work assignments and follows established department plansMaintains general discipline of the crew in meeting the daily production, safety and quality objectives. Instructs personnel in job requirements, company rules and practicesCoordinates production and maintenance activities with different departments, assists in developing continuous improvement plansMonitors site's operation, adheres to safety, environmental, quality, and productivity performance standards and performs regular auditsLeads employees' training and performance review programs.
