Steak ’n Shake is seeking a Shift Manager in Indianapolis to lead daily restaurant operations with energy, confidence, and accountability. You will set up teams for successful openings and closings, coach staff, and deliver fast, friendly service that exceeds guest expectations.

We offer top-market wages up to $21.50 per hour, plus unique perks and benefits, and require a US work authorization with flexible availability including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations with energy, confidence, and accountability
• Set up the team for successful openings and closings
• Motivate and coach team members for continued guest satisfaction
• Deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service that exceeds expectations
• Ensure brand standards: cleanliness, food safety and quality
• Handle opening/closing duties and key-holder responsibilities
• Count drawers, manage deposits, and finalize end-of-day reports
• Communicate clearly with guests and team members
• Support training and onboarding of new team members
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment built on trust
• Step into any station as needed to keep operations running smoothly
