Job summary

Cargill, Inc in Dayton, OH is seeking a Shift Manager to provide strategic operational oversight for production facilities, ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance across multiple shifts.

You will supervise direct reports, manage the production budget, coach staff on policies and core values, and coordinate with supervisors to meet customer specs and timelines on a rotating 4-on/4-off schedule (7:00 AM–7:00 PM).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to interact across all levels of the plant.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine operations of assigned area while ensuring compliance with safety, food and feed safety policies.
• Monitor production outcomes, quantity and quality to meet specifications.
• Partner with production supervisors to meet customer specs and timelines.
• Administer department budget, process purchase orders and ensure timely payments.
• Develop operational plans and coach direct reports on company values and guiding principles.
