Job summary

Cargill is seeking a Food Safety Quality Chemist based in Dayton, Ohio. The role focuses on ensuring product quality and food safety by applying knowledge of plant processes and calibrating instruments, maintaining procedures, and supporting production operations.

Responsibilities include data analysis, trend identification, corrective actions, and supervision of analytical testing. The candidate will train new staff and work with cross-functional teams to minimize waste and improve customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate processes and data.
• Experience with email, spreadsheets and word processing applications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet quality and food safety specifications.
• Analyze data, identify trends, troubleshoot, and communicate findings.
• Monitor processing data and oversee analytical testing in control rooms.
• Provide basic training to new food safety and quality staff.
• Escalate complex issues to senior staff as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
