Job summary

Huhtamaki in Ohio seeks an experienced Production Shift Supervisor to lead a 12-hour shift and direct a cross-functional team of hourly personnel. You will ensure safety, quality, and productivity while meeting production targets and reporting on shift performance.

Responsibilities include coaching, scheduling, and coordinating with maintenance and quality teams, maintaining a clean work environment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives per SQF and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Operations Management, Technical) or higher preferred.
• Minimum 5 years total manufacturing experience (minimum 3 years manufacturing experience with supervisory responsibilities).
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with machinery/automation and computer-based software (financial reporting, attendance tracking, inventory control and Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel).
• Self-motivated, works with a sense of urgency and purpose, able to multi-task and function independently, well-organized and detail oriented.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally & written, with all levels of employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 12-hour shift on a continuing basis in a manufacturing operation.
• Schedule and assign personnel; resolve safety, quality, productivity and personnel issues.
• Achieve production plan and targets while communicating priorities.
• Report shift production summaries and complete relevant personnel documentation.
• Participate in SQF housekeeping and Food Safety Programs; provide plant housekeeping support.
