Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager in Youngstown, OH. You will lead daily operations, ensure guest satisfaction, oversee food preparation, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the restaurant.

You will cascade training to Sandwich Artists, schedule and supervise staff, manage inventory, and ensure equipment operates correctly. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced restaurant business with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Shift Manager will focus on six main things:

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical:

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
