Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily operations, focusing on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory control and staff scheduling.

In this role you will cascade training to Sandwich Artists, supervise team members, handle paperwork, and ensure equipment is maintained.

Full time or part time shifts (day/evening/weekend) vary by location, with opportunities for growth and hands-on restaurant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Shift Manager will focus on six main things:

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
