Subway Team Member role focuses on delivering an outstanding guest experience while ensuring food is prepared and served to high standards. You’ll keep the restaurant clean, functional, and well-maintained, manage inventory, and supervise staff during shifts.

The position involves cascading training to Sandwich Artists, coordinating with the team, and handling shift paperwork as needed. Full-time and part-time options vary by location; compensation discussed at interview.

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Shift Manager will focus on six main things:

• Providing an excellent guest experience
• Ensuring that great food is prepared & served
• Keeping our restaurants functional, clean and beautiful
• Controlling inventory
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Being a team player

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Communication and organizational skills
• Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
