Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily restaurant operations in Denham Springs, LA. You will focus on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory control, and supervising staff across shifts.

Responsibilities include training Sandwich Artists, scheduling, ensuring equipment works, and handling administrative tasks. This role offers varied day/evening/weekend shifts and compensation to be discussed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.
• Ability to operate a computerized POS system/cash register.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest experience and ensure food is prepared and served to standard.
• Cascade training to Sandwich Artists on responsibilities and procedures.
• Schedule and supervise staff during shifts and maintain inventory control standards.
• Ensure equipment is functioning and complete paperwork as needed.

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
