Job Description:

The 1st Shift Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing the operations and sales of a high-volume convenience store retail outlet. This role involves working with store management to provide associates with supervision and leadership during designated shifts, driving profitability, developing team members, and maintaining exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities:

People

• Oversees, coaches, trains, and develops store team members.
• Plans and assigns work to store team members during shifts.

Guest

• Greet and interact with guests in a genuine manner; suggest products to enhance their experience.
• Manage store operations during designated shifts.
• Maintain inventory in a neat and organized manner.
• Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service.
• Foster positive relationships with co-workers and guests, communicate respectfully, and maintain a team-oriented attitude.
• Address employee and guest concerns during shifts.

Clean, Safe, Fast & Full

• Supervise and monitor adherence to safety and food safety regulations.
• Participate in daily operational activities, including:
  • Ringing up guests at the register
  • Ensuring the store is clean and well-maintained
  • Stocking shelves and coolers, and taking inventory
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and repeatedly bend, stand, and reach during shifts with minimal breaks.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of work experience preferred
• 1+ years of management experience preferred
• Vendor management experience preferred
• Experience in high-volume, guest-focused, transactional retail environments preferred
• Experience in retail preferred
