Job summary

The Wendy's Company is seeking a Shift Manager to lead and coach crew members, assign tasks, and ensure quality, service, and cleanliness standards are met.

You will train staff, monitor safety guidelines, and help manage costs through proper food preparation and procedures. The role may involve opening or closing procedures and on-the-job training for career progression.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 1+ years of restaurant or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crew team members, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to ensure QSC (Quality, Service, Cleanliness).
• Enforce safety guidelines and food safety procedures; assist with opening/closing procedures.

What you'll do

Shift managers play a vital role in our success as a business by assigning, directing, and following up on activities of Crew team members while also providing high quality service and food to our customers. Job responsibilities include providing guidance and coaching to crew team members, including assignment delegation, instruction, and follow-through. Shift managers ensure proper training for crew team members and maintain safe working conditions by ensuring that all safety guidelines are followed. To assist you in learning to be a successful part of our team, we offer on-the-job training and advancement opportunities.

This position does not include direct supervision of other employees, however Shift Managers do monitor tasks performed by crew team members to ensure product Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) as well as execute established cost control systems including proper food prep amounts, procedure execution, and bin chart usage to minimize food cost. Shift managers may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures.
