Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager/Team Member at our Solon, OH location. You will focus on guest experience, food quality, and keeping the restaurant clean and functional while supervising staff and controlling inventory. Training Sandwich Artists and ensuring smooth daily operations are key parts of the role.

Prerequisites include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of restaurant experience. Full time/part time and day/evening/weekend shifts vary by location.

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Shift Manager will focus on six main things:

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
