Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will focus on guest satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, inventory, and staff supervision across shifts.

Responsibilities include cascading training to Sandwich Artists, scheduling, inventory control, equipment checks, and completing paperwork. Full-time and part-time day/evening/weekend shifts vary by location. Compensation discussions apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest experience.
• Ensure food is prepared and served to standards.
• Keep restaurant clean, functional and visually appealing.
• Assist with inventory control and scheduling.
• Supervise and train staff as needed.

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
