Job summary

Workstream is hiring a Shift Leader in Livingston, TX to oversee restaurant operations when the GM or ASM is off duty and to guide teammates in delivering great guest experiences.

Bring at least 1 year in casual dining, a high school diploma or GED, and a ServSafe license (preferred or wiling to obtain). You will mentor staff, address guest concerns, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards, embodying the McAlisters Touch attitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year0in Casual Restaurant experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• ServSafe Certification preferred or able to obtain license.
• Strong team leadership and goal-setting abilities.
• Availability to work evenings, holidays, weekends.
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and follow uniform standards.
• Remain calm in a fast-paced atmosphere with strong organization.
• Display a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Able to handle the physical demands of a restaurant.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

As a Shift Leader, you’ll oversee restaurant operations when the General Manager or Assistant Manager is not on duty. You’ll guide and support team members to maintain high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, and safety. You’ll also handle guest concerns, supplier issues, and team needs, escalating matters to management when necessary.

What You’ll Bring (Requirements):

• A minimum of 1 year’s experience in the Casual Restaurant industry is required.
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Servsafe License preferred, or able to obtain a State-approved license – must be maintained per State Mandates.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership, developing goals and action plans for personal/professional growth.
• Availability to work within open hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and follow uniform standards.
• Remain calm in a fast-paced atmosphere and demonstrate a high level of organization, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
• Display a positive and outwardly friendly attitude towards all guests – Live the McAlister’s Touch.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.
