Job summary

McAlister's is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the Restaurant Manager in delivering a warm, guest‑centric experience. You’ll help control costs, grow sales and ensure a professional, high‑performing restaurant.

Ideal candidates have 1 year in casual dining, a HS diploma or GED, and strong leadership and communication skills. Flexible availability is required to cover evenings, holidays and weekends.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

As an Assistant Manager, you’ll partner with the Restaurant Manager to run a profitable, well-operated restaurant. You’ll help control costs, build sales, and maximize profits while ensuring great customer service, strong team performance, and a professional restaurant environment.

What You’ll Bring (Requirements)

• A minimum of 1 year’s experience in the Casual Restaurant industry is required.
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Servsafe License preferred, or able to obtain a State-approved license – must be maintained per State Mandates.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership, developing goals and action plans for personal/professional growth.
• Availability to work within open hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and follow uniform standards.
• Remain calm in a fast-paced atmosphere and demonstrate a high level of organization, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
• Display a positive and outwardly friendly attitude towards all guests – Live the McAlister’s Touch.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.
