Job summary

Subway in Cary, NC is seeking a Shift Manager to focus on guest experience, food quality, and restaurant upkeep while leading a team. You will cascade training to Sandwich Artists, schedule staff, and monitor inventory to ensure smooth operations.

You will also supervise daily activities, ensure equipment works correctly, and complete required paperwork. A minimum of 1 year in a restaurant is expected, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
