Job Description:
Responsible for supporting the General Manager and Co-Manager in overseeing the profitability of one RaceTrac store during designated shifts. While leading the shift, you will consistently deliver on RaceTrac’s mission to make lives simpler and more enjoyable through friendly service, food execution, cleanliness, talent leadership, and driving success.
Responsibilities:
- Friendly
- Provide courteous, frictionless, and elevated experiences for guests.
- Foster positive and professional relationships with co-workers and guests.
- Communicate respectfully and maintain a team-oriented attitude.
- Complete guest transactions efficiently at the cash register or self-checkout stations and suggest products that complement purchases.
- Address and resolve guest concerns on designated shifts with urgency and involve appropriate regional team members as needed.
Food - Monitor and adhere to all RaceTrac, federal, state, and local safety and food safety regulations.
- Ensure all food offerings are available.
Clean - Maintain a clean and fully stocked store to enhance guest experience.
- Execute shift duties, uphold presentation standards, and represent the RaceTrac brand.
- Clean food preparation areas and equipment to RaceTrac standards.
Leading Talent - Demonstrate RaceTrac's Core Values: Honesty, Efficiency, Positive Attitude, Respect, and Teamwork.
- Exhibit leadership qualities such as servant-leadership, task prioritization, going the extra mile, listening, respectful communication, and proactive problem-solving.
- Lead coaching, training, and assessment of direct reports in line with operational standards.
- Provide feedback and performance recommendations to the General Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (in progress or completed).
- 2-3 years of work experience preferred.
- 1+ years of management experience preferred.
- Experience in high-volume, guest-focused, transactional environments preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and repeatedly bend, stand, and reach during shifts, with minimal breaks.
- May require obtaining and maintaining food handler and alcohol server permits, based on local or state requirements.
