Job summary

FOUR OAKS FAMILY AND CHILDRENS SERVICES is seeking an entry-level professional in the Cedar Rapids area to support youth in a nonprofit social services setting.

Role focuses on behavior reinforcement, client self-awareness, and daily living supervision, with varied shifts and no travel requirements. A HS diploma or GED is required, with two years of child welfare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED plus two years of child welfare experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a social services related field is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, individualized reinforcement to client behavior, using daily issues to teach and reinforce adaptive behaviors.
• Assist clients in developing insight into their behaviors so that they learn to self-identify and self-correct.
• Provide daily living supervision and treatment intervention.
• Establish a therapeutic relationship with the client based on trust & respect.
• Coordinate home visit transportation logistics.
• Coordinate staff scheduling with Program Manager.
• Provide direction and support to shift leaders/youth counselors.
• Problem solve with fellow Shift Leaders and program coordinator to help fill any staffing gaps that may arise.
