Job summary

Four Oaks Family & Children Services in Mason City, IA is seeking an Entry Level Shift Leader to coordinate shift activities and provide direct care to clients on site. The role focuses on behavior management, documentation, and logging to ensure accuracy and safety.

Qualified candidates must be at least 21 with a high school diploma or GED and two years of child welfare experience; a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shift activities and provide direct care services.

• Coordinate staff scheduling with the Program Manager.
• Support shift leaders and youth counselors with direction and guidance.
• Troubleshoot staffing gaps with the program coordinator.

What you will do?

As the Shift Leader, you will be responsible to coordinate the activities of your assigned shift while providing direct care services to clientele. This position provides operational leadership to assure behavior management, documentation and logging is complete and accurate. Specific duties include:

• Provide consistent, individualized reinforcement to client behavior, using daily issues to teach and reinforce adaptive behaviors.
• Assist clients in developing insight into their behaviors so that they learn to self-identify and self correct.
• Provide daily living supervision and treatment intervention.
• Establish a therapeutic relationship with the client based on trust & respect.
• Coordinate home visit transportation logistics.
• Coordinate staff scheduling with Program Manager.
• Provide direction and support to shift leaders/youth counselors.
• Problem solve with fellow Shift Leaders and program coordinator to help fill any staffing gaps that may arise.
