Job summary

Church’s Texas Chicken is seeking a proactive Shift Leader to supervise on‑shift Team Members, coach and develop staff, and ensure a superb customer experience. The role emphasizes compliance with policies, food safety, and efficient shift operations to deliver consistent service.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, hands-on coaching, and the ability to manage cash, inventory, and opening/closing duties while maintaining high food quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• HS diploma or GED recommended.
• ServSafe training recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and development to Team Members on shift.
• Ensure prompt, friendly, and courteous customer service.
• Ensure menu items are prepared and served per standard procedures.
• Assign and monitor team member tasks and duties.
• Demonstrate proper procedures for staff to follow.
• Enforce safety and security policies and procedures.
• Oversee opening and closing duties on Shift Awareness Checklists.
• Adhere to cash handling and security procedures (drawer counts, POS entries).
• Ensure proper stock handling, rotation, and storage of food products.
