Job summary

Dairy Queen Horace is seeking a Shift Leader to guide hourly staff across customer service, product prep, and drive-thru during scheduled shifts. You will ensure proper staffing, delegate tasks, and supervise crew in all restaurants functions to uphold our standards.

You will also train new employees, support promotions at the counter, and resolve guest concerns while maintaining cash accuracy and high-quality service. This role requires energy and reliability.

Qualifications

• Three or more months of restaurant experience as an hourly employee strongly preferred.
• Excellent customer service and employee relations skills.
• Capable of supervising specific areas in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume restaurant.
• Must stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide hourly staff during scheduled shifts.
• Ensure proper staffing and task delegation per schedule.
• Train and evaluate crew in all functional areas.
• Assist at point of sale and support promotions.
• Maintain guest service quality and restaurant standards.
• Handle complaints and inform management of serious issues.
• Contribute to restaurant business plan execution.
• Complete cash accountability reports accurately.
