Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is seeking a Team Lead/Shift Manager in Mentor, OH. This hourly, full-time position supports the store manager, oversees donation processing, pricing, and merchandising, and runs the store during shifts with a focus on community service and mission delivery.

You will train staff, manage cash operations, ensure safety and cleanliness, and uphold Goodwill's inclusive workplace while meeting daily goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Six or more months of retail sales experience preferred, or demonstrated potential for management
• Strong judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strong organization and time management
• Knowledge of merchandise such as name brand, antiques, vintage, and collectibles
• Experience with computers preferred
• First aid and CPR certification required (can get certified after hire)
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, including donation processing and pricing, and keep the sales floor attractive through effective merchandising
• Run all store operations in the absence of the store manager or assistant manager during your scheduled shift
• Process transactions accurately, manage cash operations including daily counts and over/short reconciliation, and handle customer disputes and exchanges
• Help manage the backroom warehouse, including loading and unloading donations with material handling equipment
• Coach and train team members, handle day-to-day employee relations, and partner with HR when needed
• Lead your team in meeting hourly and daily production goals
• Model and enforce safe working conditions and keep the building and property clean and organized
• Support the "You Changed a Life" campaign
• Plan the day, handle end-of-day tasks, and keep the facility secure
