Job summary

Wingstop – FWS is seeking a Shift Leader to assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations and to uphold wingstop culture. This entry-level supervisory role offers training and upward mobility toward a General Manager position.

The ideal candidate will have basic supervisory experience, be flexible with hours, learn quickly, and deliver guest-first service while keeping operations compliant with policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year of previous food service, retail, or restaurant supervisory experience preferred but not required.
• Food Handler Certification required once hired.
• 6 months experience using a register (POS) system.
• Meet restaurant operating policies and standards, including quality food, cash handling, and store safety and security.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Available to work flexible hours that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, late nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Wingstop.
• Assist and support the General Manager in meeting store goals.
• Drive operational excellence by driving sales and controlling labor and food costs during shifts.
• Ensure the restaurant environment is always safe for both team members and guests; create the culture through respect, recognition, and reward.
• Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard and set a positive example for the shift team.
• Develop positive relationships with shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns.
• Assist all other positions when necessary.
• Deliver excellent customer service by acting with a guest‑first attitude and connecting with guests. Discover and respond to guests’ needs.
• Follow all cash management and cash register policies and ensure proper cash management practices are followed by the shift team.
• Resolve low‑level guest issues with efficiency and a positive attitude.
• Maintain operational standards and requirements; identify and communicate maintenance problems to the Facilities Department; maintain all facilities to Wingstop’s company standards.
• Use company‑provided tools to coach, mentor and develop team members; leverage the support of the Restaurant Support Center; ensure all risk‑management issues follow company standards.
