Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is seeking a skilled Shift Leader for our College Station bakery. You’ll lead the shift, bake and package orders, and coach the Cookie Crew to deliver warm cookies and an exceptional guest experience.

You’ll oversee cash handling and operations, ensuring safety, speed, and quality while collaborating with store leadership. Availability for peak hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or a customer-focused environment.
• Strong communications, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, team-based setting.
• Positive attitude with guest-focused service mindset.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Able to obtain location-specific food safety certifications.
• Able to perform essential duties with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Lead bakery operations during your shift to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Bake, package, and prepare orders while delivering great service.
• Coach and motivate Cookie Crew members with clear direction.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks to keep operations efficient.
• Maintain product quality, food safety, cleanliness, and speed.
• Manage cash, register accountability, and deposits.
• Communicate with store leadership to keep bakery running smoothly.
• Step in wherever needed to help the team succeed.
