Job summary

Caribou Coffee in Princeton, MN is seeking a Shift Leader to guide the store in partnership with the General Manager or Assistant General Manager. You will ensure brand standards, guest connections, and smooth shift operations while promoting a fun, inclusive environment.

You will coach teammates, manage tasks, monitor cash handling and safety, and own the shift hand-off. Minimum 6 months of leadership or equivalent training; 18+; flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of leadership experience or proper training to take on Shift Leader responsibilities.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Flexibility to work different days/times as business needs change.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates mastery of Team Member responsibilities with confidence and energy.
• Leads shifts with energy, keeping the shift on track.
• Optimizes sales, manages waste, and maintains a clean, inviting cafe.
• Reads team needs and delegates priorities accordingly.
• Owns the shift hand-off for a smooth transition.
• Ensures SOPs, cash handling, and store safety are followed.
• Coaches and trains team on responsibilities, products, and promotions.
• Performs administrative tasks: bank deposits, inventory, orders.
• Develops team members through coaching and feedback.
• Upholds Caribou values in daily actions.
• Arrives on time for every scheduled shift.
