The role emphasizes coaching, on-the-spot training, cash handling, inventory, and timely admin tasks. Arrive on time, support one another, and own the shift with resilience to deliver great coffee experiences.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience in a leadership role or properly trained to take on Shift Leader responsibilities.
• Shift Leaders may be required to work different days, times, or shifts as business needs change.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Leads shifts with energy, upholding brand standards and guest connections.
• Optimizes sales while managing waste and maintaining a welcoming cafe environment.
• Knows the day's deployment and communicates clearly on the floor.
• Delegates objectives and tasks based on shift priorities.
• Owns the current shift and ensures a smooth hand-off to the next shift.
• Ensures SOPs, quality, cash handling, and store safety are followed.
• Coaches and trains the team on responsibilities, product knowledge, and promotions.
• Performs administrative tasks timely, including deposits, inventory, and product orders.
• Actively develops Team Members with coaching and feedback.
• Upholds Caribou's Core Values in daily actions.
• Makes decisions as Manager on Duty with resilience and calm under pressure.
• Fosters an inclusive culture and supports personal growth.
