Job summary

Shake Shack is seeking a capable leader to oversee shift operations and mentor a team of hourly Team Members in New York. The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed of service, with opportunities to contribute to purchasing and inventory tasks and to participate in interviews.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of restaurant leadership experience, holds a Food Safety Certification, and demonstrates strong problem solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of restaurant leadership experience supervising a team.
• Food Safety Certification according to local jurisdiction.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of service and direct the work of team members on a shift to ensure the highest levels of safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed.
• Help build and lead high performing team of hourly Team Members.
• May assist with operational support functions (i.e. Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, etc.)
• Participates in applicant interviews and assists with employee relations.
