Job summary

McAlister’s Deli is seeking a Shift Leader to help run daily restaurant operations with a focus on hospitality and teamwork. You will guide staff, ensure quality and cleanliness, and maintain a welcoming environment for guests.

The ideal candidate brings 1+ year of casual restaurant experience, a strong sense of urgency, and excellent communication skills. This on-site role requires availability for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of casual restaurant experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• ServSafe license preferred or able to obtain license.
• Strong leadership and goal-setting skills.
• Availability to work evenings, holidays, weekends.
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and follow uniform standards.
• Remain calm in a fast-paced atmosphere and show organization.
• Positive, outgoing attitude toward guests.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Able to withstand the physical demands of a restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Oversee restaurant operations when the GM/ASM is not on duty.
• Guide and support team to maintain high standards of quality, service, cleanliness and safety.
• Handle guest concerns and supplier issues; escalate when necessary.
• Collaborate with management to ensure smooth daily operations.
