Job summary

Taziki’s Café in Nashville, TN is hiring for team members to support both front-of-house and kitchen operations. Expect opening or closing shifts with prep, service, and catering duties, and opportunities to interact with guests and contribute to a positive dining experience.

You’ll learn food safety, menu details, and how to balance busy periods with teamwork. Training is provided, and reliability and adaptability are valued at our fast-paced Mediterranean café.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Prior food service experience preferred.
• Leadership, guest service, and verbal communication skills with guests/team members.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to the policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serving guests, making meaningful connections with them.
• Opening & closing tasks.
• Being responsible for the restaurant when a manager isn’t on duty.
• Setting the tone for the shift and giving clear, calm directions to your team about their duties.
• Mastering menu and product knowledge.
• Supporting or working stations when needed (kitchen included).
• Prepping food and doing side work.
• Following proper cash handling and payment procedures.
• Maintaining Health Department Standards throughout each shift.
• Following proper Alcohol Handling policies and procedures.
• Proper food handling and storage of food products.
• Maintaining proper hygiene, uniform, and appearance.
