Job summary

Taziki’s Café is hiring team members to welcome guests, assist with Take-Out orders, and keep a clean, fast-paced kitchen and dining area. Shifts vary: opening mornings or late afternoons, with a focus on food safety and customer service.

You’ll learn recipes, participate in pre-shift meetings, and help guests with menu knowledge while progressing toward growth opportunities in a friendly, community-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Prior food service experience preferred.
• Leadership, guest service, and verbal communication skills with guests/team members.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to the policies and procedures.
• Energetic, ready to learn, loves fresh food.
• Work flexible schedule.
• Dependable, reliable, and trustworthy.
• Must have or obtain a Food Manager’s certification shortly after beginning employment.

Responsibilities

• Serving guests, making meaningful connections with them.
• Opening & closing tasks.
• Being responsible for the restaurant when a manager isn’t on duty.
• Setting the tone for the shift and giving clear, calm directions to your team about their duties.
• Mastering menu and product knowledge
• Supporting or working stations when needed (kitchen included).
• Prepping food and doing side work
• Following proper cash handling and payment procedures
• Maintaining Health Department Standards throughout each shift
• Following proper Alcohol Handling policies and procedures
• Proper food handling and storage of food products
• Maintaining proper hygiene, uniform, and appearance
