Job summary

Taziki’s Café in Birmingham is hiring team members to support guests during both opening and closing shifts, assisting prep and catering orders while upholding food safety and recipe standards.

Experience is welcomed but not required; training is provided. You’ll join a fast-paced, friendly team focused on fresh Mediterranean-inspired meals and community engagement, with opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Prior food service experience preferred.
• Leadership, guest service, and verbal communication skills with guests and team members.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple tasks.
• Willing to obtain a Food Manager’s certification shortly after starting.

Responsibilities

• Serving guests and building connections.
• Opening and closing tasks.
• Being responsible for the restaurant when a manager isn’t on duty.
• Setting the shift tone with clear directions to the team.
• Mastering menu and product knowledge.
• Supporting or working stations as needed (kitchen included).
• Prepping food and doing side work.
• Following cash handling and payment procedures.
• Maintaining Health Department Standards throughout each shift.
• Following proper Alcohol Handling policies and procedures.
• Proper food handling and storage of food products.
• Maintaining proper hygiene, uniform, and appearance.
