Job summary

El Pollo Loco is hiring a Shift Leader in Moreno Valley, CA. You will supervise restaurant operations during your shift, drive service speed, maintain safety standards, and support the team to deliver consistent, high-quality guest experiences.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, inventory checks, training teammates, and cash handling. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with prior supervisory restaurant experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be certified on EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ years of restaurant supervisory experience and pass the EPL Food Safety Audit after hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage opening and closing procedures and inventory updates.
• Ensure service speed and adherence to safety and QSC standards.
• Prioritize tasks, adjust staffing by sales volume, supervise breaks.
• Train team on new products and procedures.
• Handle cash drawer audits, deposits, and shift-level controls.
• Greet customers and ensure a friendly, helpful service.
