Job summary

Gelati Celesti Ice Cream is seeking a Shift Leader to guide store operations when management isn’t present. Lead by example with a positive attitude, focus on product quality, team leadership, and supreme customer service to deliver a moment of joy to every guest.

This year-round role offers full-time and part-time options. The position requires 1 year of leadership experience in retail, and opening and closing availability, including daytime, evening, weekend and holiday shifts.

About the Role

As a Shift Leader, you will lead store operations when the Assistant Manager or General Manager is not present. We'll expect you to lead by example with a positive attitude and good old-fashioned hard work, focusing on product quality, strong team leadership, and supreme customer service. We're looking for someone with a natural ability to connect with people, who enthusiastically guides their team to deliver a moment of joy to each and every customer.

This is a year-round position — we scoop joy in every season, and we're looking for someone ready to grow with us beyond the summer rush. Full-time and part-time positions available. Previous leadership experience preferred.

Estimated hourly wage with tips is $16-$19

Requirements

• 1 year of management or leadership experience in a retail environment preferred
• Year-round availability required — this is not a seasonal position
• Must have opening AND closing availability, including daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, with constant moving, bending, lifting, reaching, and turning during all shifts
• Ability to reach and grasp with hands; talk and hear from far away and in close proximity; taste and smell
• Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds or more
