Job summary

Caribou Coffee is seeking a Shift Leader to provide strong leadership during shifts, working with the General Manager or Assistant General Manager to uphold brand standards, guest connections, and smooth operations. The role focuses on keeping the team engaged, maintaining a clean, well-managed coffeehouse, and ensuring quality and safety.

The Shift Leader will train and coach team members on responsibilities, product knowledge, promotions, and guest service, while managing administrative duties

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months of experience in a leadership role or trained to take on Shift Leader responsibilities.
• Shift Leaders must maintain flexible availability to meet business needs.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversees shift operations and ensures brand standards are followed.
• Leads the team to keep energy high and the shift on track.
• Optimizes sales while managing waste and maintaining a clean, inviting environment.
• Communicates deployment plan and assigns roles to keep the shift moving.
• Mentors and trains team members in responsibilities and product knowledge.
• Handles administrative tasks (e.g., deposits, inventory, orders) with integrity.
• Ensures standard operating procedures are followed and safety standards are met.
